A walk through your 'hood

Walk someone through your neighborhood who has never been there. Write an accurate description of your 'hood that gives someone a real sense of what it's like if they stepped out of your house and walked down the street or took the bus. 

Describe some of the sights, sounds and smells. What does it feel like? What is a great neighborhood place to eat where the food is amazing? What kind of food would you order when you go there and what does it taste like?
